For this week’s AT&T Galaxy S3 SGH-i747 ROM of the week, check out Deadly Venom ROM!

Based on Android 4.1.2 TouchWiz base, Deadly Venum ROM comes with a highly, venomous red theme that you may fall in love with (like I did).

Apart from the beautiful red theme all over, Deadly Venom ROM is a force to be reckoned with as it features some of my favorite mods like hacked native tether (Bluetooth, USB, and Wifi), AOSP lockscreen option, customizable 23 quick toggles with custom icons, multi-window with all apps enabled, Volume Hack (louder volume), inverted Playstore/GMail/Hangout, long-press volume skip, and even some more.

I love the Deadly Venom rom! I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks and the only problem (I just found out) is with the GPS. I’ll try Max’s suggestion and let you known what the result is. For me personally the 2 things missing are Over-clocking and PIE. But PIE was an easy install.

    • Douglas Lavery says:

No satellites are being detected. So there is no GPS functionality.

      • Douglas Lavery says:

I went to the XDA website and found the solution. I did this and now have a fully functional GPS!

“If you are having problems with GPS please do this for me, just try it. Make a nandroid backup of your ROM as it is right now. Once you’re backed up, reboot. Then go to backup on your system settings and do a factory reset. Once that completes go back to recovery and then without clearing anything restore the nandroid that you’ve just backed up. I’ve done this twice now GPScomes back full bars instant lock.”

GPS Fix app will do to solve your problem as what Max advise. It works for me! Thanks.

Hello Max, thanks for all your wonderful instructions. You’re indeed a great guru!
anyway, do you have video instructions with regards to ROM toolbox with all the features inside, like overclocking and other important stuff? Please advise and thanking you in advance.

I’ve been using Venom for a couple of weeks now and I’ve noticed that my stock email, gmail & kik do not update over wifi. As soon as I turn wifi off, everything starts syncing. Any ideas or suggestions?

  8. Daniel Teodoro says:

I just installed this rom, everything seems to be working ok except for my data, It does not work at all. Any ideas on how to fix this?

  9. Douglas says:

Try the GPS fix that I found and replied to a few comments ago. If I had a data problem, I would.

    • Daniel teodoro says:

When I go into system settings and I click on reset to factory it brings me to next Page where it says delete apps so I click that and nothing happens, it’s weird

      • Douglas says:

After you do the factory reset exit from that and go back to Recovery and restore your.nandroid Backup.

        • Daniel Teodoro says:

Ya something must be wrong, when I backup with nandroid it says the file path it was backed up to is unknown, after I factory reset I go to recovery and I use restore from internal SD card and it says no files found
