MIUI ROM, pronounced (My-U-I, like my user interface it supposed to mean), is probably one of my favorite ROMs for many Android smartphones. Until recently, MIUI ROM for Galaxy S3 were not so stable but I think most of the recent versions are more stable enough to use as daily drivers. Also, latest MIUI ROMs are built on top of CM10, so you can expect more compatibility when flashing custom kernels over it (most CM10 compatible kernels should also work fine with MIUI). Yes, all these MIUI ROMs are based on CM10 Jelly Bean so you do also get the benefits of Jelly Bean stuff.

This week’s big news is that CM10 (CyanogenMod10) ROM version “M1” is out for your AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, and US Cellular Galaxy S3.
What is “M1”? Basically it’s an acronym for more or less “milestone stable” version of CM10. You can expect pretty much everything working out of the box with full functionality. Based on my testing, it seems indeed the best version of CM10 out yet and probably a good time to use it as a daily driver.
Here’s a quick update on the HighOnAndroid ROM version 0.3 for your rooted Verizon Galaxy S3 SCH-I535!
Now it comes with support for App2SD (swaps your internal storage to microSD card so you can get more app data space) with everything else from previous versions including custom boot animation support, Jelly Bean animations, GoogleNow, and should give you very good battery life.
Here’s a quick update on HighOnAndroid ROM v.0.2 for your Verizon Galaxy S3, now comes with custom bootanimation support, native wifi hotspot working out of the box, 15 quick toggles, and more.
So, I finally built the HighOnAndroid ROM for all U.S. Galaxy S3s including the AT&T SGH-I747, Verizon SCH-I535, Sprint SPH-L710, and T-Mobile SGH-T999. My plan is to start slow and perhaps add 3 new features every week. Anyways, currently these ROMs are all based off stock, gives you jelly bean animations, Google Now, and some other additional features you might like over stock.
For those of you wondering what locked bootloaders are on the Verizon Galaxy S3 and also what “kexec” does (I am sure you’ve heard it on XDA forums before), here’s a video explaining sort of what’s really going on with locked bootloaders and how developers are going around the problem with “kexec” supported recoveries.
Here’s a really solid and stable ROM called “Bean’s Stock ROM” for your rooted Verizon Galaxy S3 SCH-I535 that comes with Jelly Bean animations to make switching between apps super fast and give you great performance and battery life over stock.
This is actually the “first” ROM that ever came out for the Verizon Galaxy S3 and I have been testing it often. I think current version is best of them all and some of notable features include hacked wifi tether, customized toggles, native call recording, Bravia Engine for better photos/videos, remove Verizon bloatware, Beats audio, and a lot more.
If you are looking for a good, stable ROM to start your Verizon Galaxy S3 on the right path to custom ROMs, I highly recommend the Synergy ROM for rooted Verizon Galaxy S3 SCH-I535.
This Synergy ROM is very similar to stock but with lots of enhancements so you can slowly move your way into custom ROMs. Some of notable features include blocking Samsung’s root chekcing service, EXT4 performance tweaks, custom notification bar toggles, 4-in-1 reboot menu, Sony Bravia Engine for better photos/videos, hacker native WiFi Tether app, Verizon OTAs blocked, and should give you much better battery life over stock.
Need Jelly Bean for your Verizon Galaxy S3 SGH-I535? I know, I know, I get like a ton of requests for this whole week so here it is, Paranoid Android Jelly Bean ROM is now available for your rooted Verizon Galaxy S3!
Of course, please keep in mind things like camera/camcorder/Netflix/Hulu are either not working or buggy but 4G LTE and everything else works. This isn’t for anyone who’s using their phone as their daily driver but you can always backup your current ROM using ROM Manager and try this ROM.
