For this week’s ROM of the week on the Galaxy S3 GT-i9300, check out the NightStorm ROM. This ROM comes with an option to install theme (see video to see what the theme looks like) by simply installing the theme zip file after installing base ROM.
Notable features on this ROM include in-call recording, 23 toggles, transparent notification pull-down menus, DSP Manager, hold menu key to kill current app, home key torch in lockscreen, multi-window control app, and some more.
The NightStorm ROM ships with Siyah kernel and I recommend around 1.6-1.7Ghz overclocking for optimal performance.
This is a pretty solid and stable ROM, try it out for this week and let me know how it fares on your phone!

Max, Can you please tell me what’s the best S3 GT-i9300 Rom for you? Thanks, You’re Amazing! (:
An impossibly broad question. He could tell you his favorite but the best is always open to debate because personal taste always plays a factor. I can tell you my favorite that I learned about from these videos is Ultimarom. I’ve been using it as my daily rom for months now and I love it.
Okay! (: and thanks! Ohh and i said “The best for you” because i think he has a good taste and knowledge about all this. I trust him :p and i might do everything he recommends me!
My bad… I stand corrected. If you’re looking for a daily room I’d still try the ultimarom. It’s really stable and works great. Search back and you’ll find his video on it.
What the other version of you tube you mention and can you get it for other rom’s. I currently have wanam lite on my S3.
Hey Max, wondered if you could tell me a setting to check or if i need to check something. I have a GT I9300 and have used various ROMs (Foxhound, Criskelo, Unltima etc) but all have the same issue where i get no data connection. The only option i have to get a data connection is to use wireless. The exception is the Wanam Lite ROMS, these are really great ROMs but i just wondered why when i flash the ROM (which i do exactly the same each time, Davilk cache, wipe cache, factory rest then flash the ROM) the data connection comes strainght up and works great.
OK sorted now, for info i had to manually add my APN as the rom had a default APN that was not mine.
Hi Max.. I am just asking for your opinion whether I need to upgrade my ROM or not. I am currently on Ultima ROM v4.1 JB 4.1.1. SO far it goes very smoothly o/c at 1600 and undervolt -100. But I just read about the “Exynos Exploit” thing and it is fixed at JB 4.1.2. Is it really that dangerous? Do I need to upgrade? This ROM is basically a perfect replacement for my Ultima since it has all the S-Tweaks and DSP Manager and you can install the Lite version (free of all the bloatwares and junkies from Samsung). Could you please lemme know what you think? Thanks.
I have installed this ROM. The touch is a bit less responsive than Ultima ROM or Foxhound. I can not get the LED notification to work at all (Light Flow Lite).. maybe I set it wrong or something.. Changing shortcut is also slower than Ultima or Foxhound.. I do not know if this is due to the JB 4.1.2 ROM or something.. The layout is very nice though and so far I find it stable at 1600 and -100mV. Overall it is a good rom, but I might wanna give it a try at Foxhound 4.1.2 JB based or Ultima ROM.
When installing the themefile it stops at about 99%. Any help please is appreciated
