I’ve been running the Sprint Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean leak for almost a week now and I have to say it’s pretty darn solid, no problems whatsoever.  But if you do get tired of stock user interface, you might want to give the JellyBomb Jelly Bean ROM for your Sprint Galaxy S3 SPH-L710.

One of the major changes on the JellyBomb ROM over the leaked stock Jelly Bean ROM is that it comes highly themed in blue, some of you may love it and some of you may not.  My favorite color is blue so I naturally liked it more.

    hey max,
i know this is off the subject but can you make a video on your favorite and or what screen protector you use or recommend on the S3. been trying some out and can’t find the right one for a tpu case….tends to bubble up

    Thanks

I know you asked Max but I have armorsuit as a screen protector for my S3 and I really love it, it doesn’t leave greasy smudges, it sticks very well, you can barely see it. it also covers the back and sides of it. It’s different pieces made specially for the S3. I only use the front because I use an extended battery so it came with a back cover that acts as the case itself. Also something I hate about other screen protectors is that they usually peel off on corners making it collect dust or lint there. This one doesn’t do that at all. I would very much recommend it.

You can use talcum powder before using tpu case to get rid of bubbles.

Hey Max, I saw the camera still had sound, by any chance did you see if this rom has the ability to turn off the sound?

I love the ROM only problem is when you try to add a contact it freezes.

  7. Machinematrix says:

Yep, testing on my Galaxy, and there is a problem with contacts. Can’t add or edit contacts.
Get this fixed and you have a fantastic ROM here…

  8. gerald says:

Has anyone found the fix to the contacts?

  9. g35boi says:

I like this ROM, but like everyone else you cannot add new contacts. The only way to add contact with this ROM is to do it manually in gmail contacts.

The problem I’m having is the Wireless Tethering doesn’t work…

Will this ROM work on Canadian S3’s

  11. Terrence says:

outside of the contacts freezing, it freezes when i go into mobile networks. also my phone has been shutting itself off since installing. trying a new rom out tonight

  12. Eddie says:

along with the contacts problem, I’m also having a problem with the play store freezing up when trying to launch the app

  13. caleb says:

I have a u.s. gs3. Wifi tether isn’t working. Major bummer. Is there a fix for this?

This was my first attempt at flashing a new rom, and I’m very happy with it. One thing I’d suggest is to read the page that you download the file from carefully. Like Max say, take the time to read everything you can and get it right the first time. The guy who made JellyBomb insists on installing a particular modem on the phone, also, he says not to use titanium backup to reinstall you apps, but to do in manually (which kinda sucks).
The rom itself seem pretty darn quick. Coming from the stock rom I’m finding that my battery life has been improved.
You get the choice of three launchers, I’m using the first of those choices, Apex. It’s very customizable, a lot like ‘go launcher’. The only gripe I have is the jellybomb logo that is shown when you pull down the status bar. Other than that it seems near perfect for what I’m after. 9 starts 🙂 I’d only vote ten if it could read my mind.

As I have to reinstall the apps manually, can any of you tell me if I’ll be doubling up the files on my phone? Or will reinstalling an app overwrite the old version?

Actually, I am having problems with my google calender not being able to sync. I have done the mobile setup, cleared data, force stopped the calender apps and rebooted the phone. Still no joy. Kinda strange as my contact update fine…
      Any suggestions would be appreciated

First of all thank you Max for the rooms I really love JellyBoom Domination, just want to mention some stuff. #1. I can’t acces ‘Mobile networks’ when I try to get into that option it says ”the process com.android.phone has stopped” and option it force closes. #2 When I press HOME key to wake up the phone it vibrates and restarts by itself, I just cleared the cache to see if it helps and #3 I’m not able to update facebook app, I think its because of the custom app??.

  19. Redliner14rpm says:

Jan I still do updates on my phone if its rooted???

  21. Ronald says:

I updated my earlier Jelly Bomb for the new 7.0.0 and I now have the Jelly Bomb camera and the sphere camera! They both work too 🙂 Because I was just upgrading, I only wiped the cache and dalvik cache before installing. I did do a factory reset when I moved from Anakonda to Jelly Bomb though. I like these custom roms. Thanks again Max

  22. Wes says:

What about the app to SD function from one of your other ROMs. does the jelly bomb rom allow apps to the SD Card?

  23. simonsayz says:

Question, if I flash to any custom roms (im unrooted but with stock) will I lose my data such as apps, photos, videos, and etc? Thanks!
