The big Galaxy S3 news of the week? Leaked official Jelly Bean ROM is now available for your Sprint Galaxy S3 SPH-L710. No, this isn’t just another port from another Galaxy S3 but a real leak from Sprint. I’ve been using it for most of the day and the battery life is pretty good with almost everything working out of the box. I do see one thing wrong, that the sound is a bit lower than usual but other than that, it’s a pretty solid ROM you can use as daily driver.

MIUI ROM, pronounced (My-U-I, like my user interface it supposed to mean), is probably one of my favorite ROMs for many Android smartphones. Until recently, MIUI ROM for Galaxy S3 were not so stable but I think most of the recent versions are more stable enough to use as daily drivers. Also, latest MIUI ROMs are built on top of CM10, so you can expect more compatibility when flashing custom kernels over it (most CM10 compatible kernels should also work fine with MIUI). Yes, all these MIUI ROMs are based on CM10 Jelly Bean so you do also get the benefits of Jelly Bean stuff.
This week’s big news is that CM10 (CyanogenMod10) ROM version “M1” is out for your AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, and US Cellular Galaxy S3.
What is “M1”? Basically it’s an acronym for more or less “milestone stable” version of CM10. You can expect pretty much everything working out of the box with full functionality. Based on my testing, it seems indeed the best version of CM10 out yet and probably a good time to use it as a daily driver.
Yey, HighOnAndroid ROM version 0.3 is out for your rooted Sprint Galaxy S3 SPH-L710!
For this version, I’ve upgraded the OS to the latest LG8, which means you won’t get those annoying update notifications plus Google Wallet works! Also, App2SD Hack has been added, meaning if you have a microSD card inserted, it will swap the microSD card with internal storage. If you don’t want this feature, you can either leave your microSD card out during boot (then plug it in after booting) OR simply remove the file /system/etc/init.d/11extsd2internalsd using ES File Explorer with ROOT/MOUNT enabled.
HighOnAndroid ROM v0.2 for Sprint Galaxy S3 SPH-L710! [Custom Boot Animation][Extended Power Menu][15-Toggles]
Well, after hours of trying to get hacks up for the Sprint Galaxy S3 SPH-L710, here’s version 0.2 of HighOnAndroid ROM, now it comes with ability to change custom boot animations, extended power menu, 15-toggles, and everything from v0.1 (Jelly Bean Animations and Google Now).
So, I finally built the HighOnAndroid ROM for all U.S. Galaxy S3s including the AT&T SGH-I747, Verizon SCH-I535, Sprint SPH-L710, and T-Mobile SGH-T999. My plan is to start slow and perhaps add 3 new features every week. Anyways, currently these ROMs are all based off stock, gives you jelly bean animations, Google Now, and some other additional features you might like over stock.
For those of you who keep asking for OTA updates, here’s a better way to update, just install this CWM-zippable LG8 OTA with root. It will give you everything that comes with the latest LG8 OTA and root for your Sprint Galaxy S3 SPH-L710.
To install, just flash it in CWM and wipe cache after installing then reboot, you should be on the latest LG8 stock ROM with root.
Looking for a great custom ROM for your rooted Sprint Galaxy S3 SPH-L710 that’s stable and also gives you a TON of options?
Well, I think I found the one, the Free GS3 ROM brings you the first Aroma installer to the Sprint Galaxy S3 with a ton of options you can choose during installation, one of my favorites being the 6×5 launcher and app drawer so I can put more apps.
You know what’s HOT around the block for Android? Well, if you didn’t know it’s Jelly Bean Android OS. Although there’s no full port to any of the Galaxy S3s at the moment, many ROMs have began implementing Jelly Bean parts including the Syndicate ROM from ACS Syndicate team (I used to be part of their team last year).
I know a lot of you have been waiting eagerly for T-Mobile Galaxy S3 ROMs and well, here’s my first T-Mobile Galaxy S3 ROM I’ve tried (and not that many out there right now) and glad to say I can recommend this one over the stock ROM. The redruM ROM also works on AT&T Galaxy S3 according to the author (in fact works for any Galaxy S3 with SIM but DO NOT TRY ON GT-i9300!!!). Also there’s a ported Sprint version you can try if you have a Sprint Galaxy S3.
