For this week’s ROM of the Week, check out the latest Android 4.4.3 + Root for your Galaxy S3!
UPDATE: Please CLICK HERE to see latest stable version of Gummy ROM with Android 4.4.4 here INSTEAD!
I’ve been flashing all kinds of 4.4.3 custom ROMs last few days and have found Gummy ROM to be the most stable. CM11 is pretty good also but video recording is broke currently while Gummy ROM has both photo/video recording working 100% flawless.
Android 4.4.3 brings a TON of speed/performance improvements by 20-30% on most Android devices I have tested including the S3. It’s amazing in a sense as I have revived many of my older Android smartphones with the latest Android 4.4.3.
With Gummy ROM, not only you get the latest Android 4.4.3 + root, you will also get many of Gummy customization (you may be used to) so you can tweak all day long on full speed. Battery life is also drastically improved with Android 4.4.3 as many of the improvements relate to fixing bugs that waste battery life.
Overall, Gummy ROM has definitely got it right “right now” and you can go ahead and experience Android 4.4.3 today, not tomorrow or next month. So, definitely give it a shot this week(end) and do tell me what you think of Android 4.4.3’s speed.
Download Gummy ROM with Android 4.4.3 + Root for Galaxy S3 (For all AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, Cricket, C-Spire, MetroPCS, and Canadian)
Download Android 4.4.3 Gapps (DO NOT USE OLDER GAPPS!)
NOTE: You need to update you CWM Recovery to v188.8.131.52 or higher OR also update your TWRP Recovery to v184.108.40.206 or higher. You can use either ROM Manager app or Goo Manager app from Play Store to update.
To install, reboot into recovery, make backup ROM, wipe data/factory reset, install ROM, install Gapps, and reboot. (If for some reason you end up in a bootloop, reboot into recovery, go to Advanced Wipe for TWRP or Mounts & Storage for CWM, format/wipe /system, then re-install ROM.)
