Here’s how to root your U.S./Canadian Galaxy S3 on Mac OSX!
Works on SGH-T999, SCH-I535, SPH-L710, SGH-I747, and other SGH-i747 Canadian variants like i747m. Should work on all Galaxy S3 with Qualcomm dual-core processor!
Also, I’ve included scripts for Linux and Windows, for those of you brave and curious!
This root Method works for:
- Sprint Galaxy S3 SPH-L710
- Verizon Galaxy S3 SCH-I535
- T-Mobile Galaxy S3 SGH-T999
- AT&T Galaxy S3 SGH-I747
- Other dual-core Canadian Galaxy S3s.

Step 1. Run the RootMac.sh script by typing “sh RootMac.sh”.
Step 2. Once the script runs, your phone should boot twice. The second re-boot might take a little while.
Step 3. Once done re-booting twice, download and install either “SuperSU” or “SuperUser” app from Play Store.
To verify you have full root, download and run “Titanium Backup” app from Play Store.
For Verizon Galaxy S3, I highly recommend you to download and run “EZ Unlock” app from Play Store to unlock your bootloader before installing any custom ROMs!!!

A: Try doing “chmod 755 *” before running “sh RootMac.sh”. Also try running as root by adding “sudo” in front if you have trouble.
