Here’s a really solid and stable ROM called “Bean’s Stock ROM” for your rooted Verizon Galaxy S3 SCH-I535 that comes with Jelly Bean animations to make switching between apps super fast and give you great performance and battery life over stock.

This is actually the “first” ROM that ever came out for the Verizon Galaxy S3 and I have been testing it often. I think current version is best of them all and some of notable features include hacked wifi tether, customized toggles, native call recording, Bravia Engine for better photos/videos, remove Verizon bloatware, Beats audio, and a lot more.

Try it out yourself and let me know what you think of this ROM!

Just flashed this ROM it’s pretty good. My only concern is I’m getting 3 bars at most. My speed test getting 17 mbps bench mark getting 3144. Like the UI very smooth like the keyboard.

Does this ROM block OTA update and block Samsung root checker?

    Hey Max,
I’ve flashed the two official Verizon GS3 ROMS and a couple cracked versions of CM10. No matter which ROM I flash, or how many times I re-install it, I don’t have my 4G LTE. Any ideas why this is and how I can fix it?!?

    • Max says:

First make sure u have 4g lte, my verizon gs3 also does not get 4g lte caz verizon throttled it.

You can rerun the root method to get stock rom back to test.

      • JBAD says:

Can you kindly give me an OEM ROM so I can flash it? I have been searching for one and can not locate one at all. Any help would be really appreciated.

        Thank you,

Do you guys not see 4G/LTE connection at all? My new S3 has the same problem. Nothing I’ve tried so far connects it to 4G. I move the SIM to my Galaxy Nexus and boom, 4G no problem. Neither Verizon nor Samsung techs could help…

    • tony says:

hey i got a fix for that, go to the play store and download an app called phone info, once open go to device info, scroll down and set preferred network tipe to lte/cdma/evdo and that should do it, git it time to switch and maybe even reboot your phone… it fixed mines

  5. JBAD Mad at the world until Glaxys3root came along says:

I found that this ROM caused some major issues with the network connections. I did find this out after discussing with Verizon about throttling my connection or not?

JBAD: I am having issues with my 4G connection with data. Has my account been throttled.

Verizon: We don’t throttle 4G devices at all. But we do throttle 3G devices due to the connectivity and bandwidth of those devices.

I went back to stockVerizonGalaxyS3WithRoot and it works just fine. I am not having any problems with my connections any more. LOL I am even ROOT to bone.

  6. B Lee says:

Best rom out so far. No issues with 4g for me like others have stated.

  7. joe says:

For some reason mine will NOT connect to my google account. It just gets stuck on the signing in page. Has this happened to anyone else? Going on 20 minutes now, already restarted once with no luck. Seem to be able to access the rest of the ROM if i bypass the google account link on initial sign in, but phone freezes up when I go to accounts to link it to google.

Hey guys, I’m kind of new to tweaking my S3 but have been messing around recently with some ROMS and rooting… For this one, do you install with Odin or have to install from your memory card?

    • Max says:

      try this bud easy!

      • Dan says:

Thanks Max, I couldn’t find it anywhere, as a newbie to looking for ROMs to flash and all around in general getting into customizing my phone, you’re site has been very helpful

Hey Max I know your real busy man but I am having the worst luck right now with my nandroid backups. I dont know why I havent learned from this before because it happened on my droid bionic before. I am getting “error while restoring /system messages on a couple backups and error while restoring /data messages for another rom. I pretty sure its because a mixture of flashing different recoveries and and flashing kernels. I rerooted my phone again and still getting errors. Is there anyway to restore the nandroid backups I had or should I just delete them and start from scratch?..Thanks

    • Max says:

Try restoring with the recovery u used to backup should work unless ur backup is bad.

      • Chris says:

Yea somehow my backup got corrupted because they are not the size they’re supposed to be, should be a little over a gb but I think they got stripped somehow when I copied them to my Mac but o well..lesson learned..thanks for the help though.

        • Max says:

The newer cwm stores backups in folder called blobs u have to backup the whole clockworkmod directory will have an update on that soon.

I installed the rom and its working great but I was wondering if the stock samsung keyboard with swype was available. I don’t see it in settings

  11. chad386 says:

    Hey Max,

Does the version of Bean’s stock ROM in this video block verizon OTA updates?

    • Max says:

I am not sure, I think most custom ROMs do though.

      • chad386 says:

I think you’re right. If I go to settings, device, software update, and force check for update, settings force closes. So seems like he’s got that locked out. I hope so anyway. Don’t see myself ever wanting to change from this, the speed difference has spoiled me.

  12. Church says:

    Hi Max,
Been trying to get this ROM installed on my I535 but it keeps getting ‘stuck’ on the boot animation. I am using CWM to install the zip. Goes through the installation fine, but upon reboot just sits at the boot animation. I reboot to CWM and install HighOnAndroid and it works fine (HighOnAndroid is draining my battery too fast).
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  13. Matt says:

I just installed it, is this the most recent version? So far the app works great!

  14. Leviathan says:

ok im lost where do I download this??? I cant find the download link I really want to try it out.

  15. Don says:

I am wondering if a Samsung S3 purchased with Verizon could be unlocked to work with TMobile, which would then allow wifi calling enabled with TMobile carrier/products?

-Or- Installing this ROM would allow to enable Wifi calling while staying with Verizon as a carrier?

    Thank you for clarifying this.

hey i got a fix for the 4g problems , go to the play store and download an app called phone info, once open go to device info, scroll down and set preferred network tipe to lte/cdma/evdo and that should do it, giv it time to switch and maybe even reboot your phone… it fixed mines

  17. Albert says:

I have a Galaxy s3 4G LTE with Verizon and I was wondering if there is a fix or a ROM to make this cellphone work with a different carrier. I am using it with a Solavei SIM card, which pretty much works under TMobile’s network; the phone works fine on all aspects with the exception of 4G, it only works up to 3G. I tried the Phone Info app and it doesn’t work. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    • Max says:

      You can try this:

You will be able to get HSPA+ at most though, that’s the limit as 4G LTE frequencies are different for other networks, I haven’t tried Tmobile/Solavei though for 4G LTE.
